About Carol Maria
Carol Maria has been a Therapist for over thirty years originally training in Sports Therapy and went on to qualify as an Osteopath , graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 2002, and has continued her studies in Pilates, Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, Cranial Osteopathy and Bowen Therapy. Other specialist areas of interest include Menopause, Hyper-mobility, ADHD, Stress, Anxiety and Long Covid.
Carol Maria is experienced in the Bowen Fascia Release Technique and may use this during consultations, depending on the needs of the client. She may also use Cranial Osteopathic techniques and Traditional Acupuncture alongside your treatment session, according to your individual needs on the day.
Unlike a standard Chiropractic crack or a localised massage, an Osteopath uses a wide variety of manual techniques, often more gentle and rhythmic. Your body has an inherent ability to heal itself, which Carol Maria will assist with. The treatment will focus on the cause of the problem, not just the symptoms.
